Je me présente, Christiane, naturothérapeute et coach en nutrition. Je me suis intéressée de près à l’alimentation lorsque j’ai constaté que je manquais beaucoup d’énergie alors que je travaillais en paysagement il y a plusieurs années. J’ai graduellement changé ma façon de manger et j’ai recouvré toute mon énergie. En prime, j’ai perdu quelques livres superflues. Suite aux résultats obtenus je me suis prise de passion pour l’alimentation et j’en ai fait mon métier.

Marie Christine Dean présente: Planétarium

Native de la région du Lac Brome, Marie Christine Dean, est une astrologue diplômée qui a une longue expérience astrologique basée sur l’étude de plusieurs thèmes, soigneusement vérifiées dans la pratique.

Elle s’est intéressée à l’astrologie de très bonne heure et elle a mis de nombreuses années avant de commencer à faire preuve d’un début de maîtrise dans l’interprétation, et à trouver une méthode suffisamment fiable lui permettant d’appréhender le mieux possible le person-nage étudié.

Dès le début, déjà lointain, de sa carrière astrologique, Marie Christine Dean s’est lancée résolument dans la recherche patiente et tenace, posant comme principe que notre savoir représente peu de chose par rapport à ce que nous avons encore à découvrir par l’observation et le travail. Très rapidement, les résultats obtenues ont dépassé largement ses espérances et, à ce jour, des trouvailles surgissent toujours.

Activement engagée dans l’astrologie depuis plusieurs années, durant cette période, Marie Christine Dean a eu comme professeure merveilleuse Anne-Marie Chalifoux D.N. à qui elle doit beaucoup. Il y a évidemment un peu de sa façon de penser et de sa philosophie dans sa méthodologie de travail.

Sachant que l’astrologie n’est pas là pour nous dicter une ligne de conduite, elle fait tout simplement la lumière sur des voix qui pourraient se présenter.

Il s’agit d’une émission hebdomadaire sur CIDI diffusée le samedi matin à 10 heures et répétée le dimanche soir à 23 heures.
Un des participants a lu un livre qui l’a marqué. Il essaie de communiquer à l’autre le pourquoi de son enthousiasme. Ce n’est en aucun cas une émission de critique littéraire, mais plutôt la rencontre de deux amis qui partagent le plaisir et la surprise d’une lecture.

« J’ai accepté le défi que me proposait Henri Laban, pour le plaisir de lire ou de relire, en compagnie de mes deux chats, espérant faire découvrir et aimer des livres et des auteurs. Nous sommes convenus que mes choix se porteraient sur tous les genres, que j’exprimerais des points de vue personnels, sans exclure les questionnements ni les doutes. Après tout, la série s’appelle OUVERTURES, alors…j’ouvre des livres, des avenues.
À chacun d’y voir ce qui lui plaît, ce qui lui donne envie d’aller plus loin. Et même de trouver des réponses à des questions restées sans réponse. Ou de commenter nos échanges. Vous n’avez qu’à nous écrire pour en parler! »

Une émission animée par Aurélien Guillory, designer d’intérieur, spécialiste des couleurs et enseignant. Depuis plusieurs années maintenant, Aurélien pratique le design intérieur de Montréal à Toronto, en passant par Calgary, New York, et ce jusqu’en Floride.

Sa double majeure en psychologie clinique et beaux-arts de la Southwestern Louisiana University (à Lafayette) l’a emmené à développer ce qu’il appelle L’ENVIRONNEMENT DE SOUTIEN PSYCHOLOGIQUE. Le tout se traduit par la création d’assortiments de couleurs et de styles uniques adaptés à chacun de ses clients.

Dans le passé, M. Guillory a animé la série télévisée « HOME BY DESIGN » à la chaîne HGTV (Boston), aussi se sent-il très à l’aise pour animer sa propre émission de radio ici-même à CIDI 99.1 FM.

LIVING COLOR! se présente comme un compte-rendu de ses expériences agrémenté de trucs pratiques sur la façon d’utiliser les couleurs « tendances » en les personnalisant. Puisqu’il possède une maison ici dans nos cantons depuis 1978, M. Guillory propose des idées de décoration adaptées au point de vue des Estriens, tout en suggérant des endroits dans la région (si possible) où s’approvisionner. Demeurez à l’écoute pour entendre des entrevues avec des artistes et des fournisseurs locaux, ainsi que des discussions sur des sujets comme l’encadrement, les tentures et comment personnaliser son décor à travers les saisons.

Henry was born in the Czech republic terribly long ago, but has been a proud Canadian citizen since 1946 and a resident of Knowlton, Quebec since 2006, the year he retired from his profession. This was based on his PhD and MSc degrees in physics and chemistry and entailed some 15 years as a research scientist in industry, followed by a career in Academe.

He was research professor (Chem.Eng.) at l’Université de Montréal’s Ecole polytehnique and honorary research Fellow (Chem.) at McGill. He wrote gobs of scientific papers (over 230), holds 20 patents and even contributed to, or edited, 6 books. Lectures took him far a field (US, Sweden, France, England, Germany, Japan, Thailand, etc.), eventually tiring out both himself and his audiences (?). Consequently he now wastes time digging divots at golf courses, playing tennis (badly) skiing (pretty well) and organizing discussion groups, hosting Musical Entertainments, and presiding over Henry’s Music and Musings on CIDI.

Welcome to my page. I am Matteo Ortuso AKA Matt Elvis Jr. and I’m the host of “The Elvis Hour”. The show is all Elvis music, and trivia.

I have always been an old fashioned guy, loving the old music. My idol has always been Elvis Presley, because of what he did and what he stood for. His music has influenced me, as it has many others. I idolize Elvis Presley so much, I became an Elvis Presley Tribute Artist. I want to help all those, who try to keep Elvis alive forever, by continuing to share his music and messages with all those young and old.

Né en Belgique où j’ai vécu jusqu’à l’âge adulte, j’ai émigré en 1990 au Québec avec ma famille . Biologiste en écologie, j’ai toujours été pré-occupé par l’impact de notre vie personnelle sur notre environnement non seulement naturel mais surtout humain. J’ai vite compris que les réponses à ces préoccupations sont plus spirituelles que matérielles.

Très jeune, j’ai cherché dans diverses traditions de quoi combler ma quête de sens. D’abord dans la religion catholique de mes parents puis dans l’orthodoxie puis dans les diverses traditions orientales.

C’est donc avec grand plaisir que j’anime l’émission spirituelle «Un air de rien» sur CIDI.

“A Classical Time” is a program of classical music by local, Canadian and international artists. When possible, you will hear local artists playing music in our studio at CIDI or who have sent us their CDs to play on the radio.

Alan Eastley recently retired from the world of Information Technology in which he worked all his life. He is now happily settled in Knowlton where he discovered CIDI and community radio. Alan has always been a lover of classical music, and the opportunity to play music which he likes on local community radio was an opportunity too good to pass.

DJBLUES might be a new face and voice at CIDI 99.1 FM , but to say he is new to the game of music would be like saying Elvis lived a long and healthy life. Born and raised in Granby, this blues (retro rock) maniac lives for music. Jamming on the drums with his buddies Terry Ladd and John Cymbaluk in the 1960’s, he has been in the music business for over 35 years. Having attended hundreds of shows in his lifetime, he’s got love for many different genres of music . He has played drums in retro, rock and country bands over the last three decades.

I am glad that Maurice gave me the chance to spread my gospel of musical tastes to all the listeners at CIDI.

What can be said about Yvon Grondin, the Ivanator? A lot!

He’s been musically involved, since way back in 1963 when the Beatles first came out, with his twin brother Yves, aka The Sailor. They used to put on Beatle wigs and sing in schoolrooms and auditoriums back in Maine where they grew up.

Later on he learned how to play the guitar, performed in high-school bands and still plays to this day. He got into recording back in the late 70’s and now owns a modest recording studio in Bromont where he plays and records in the comfort of his own home. A phone call with Maurice Singfield, back in April, 2009, led him to join the CIDI production team that in turn led him to host his very own show, The Ivan Hour.

Veronika Christie moved to Knowlton from Montreal in 2002. She runs a funky pink boutique in the heart of Knowlton called Mademoiselle Rose. Veronika speaks English, French, Russian and Hungarian.

She is passionate about music (all genres from classical to country) and eclectic when choosing the best selections for her show, Veronika’s Lounge, broadcast every Friday at 10:00 p.m. and Sunday at 5:00 p.m.. If it is wonderful music, chances are she’ll share it with you on CIDI.

Jacques Lecours has become the latest host of CIDI’s Around Town, sharing the duties with Dewey Durrell and Chuck Christie. The CIDI weekly show deals with topical issues, such as politics, business, the environment and the arts in and around the Town of Brome Lake.

As a town planner for 40 years Lecours worked for a number of towns and cities throughout the Laurentians and the Townships including St. Jerome, Lachute and St. Eustache. After years of renting houses for ski getaways in the Glen mountain region of Brome Missisquoi, he decided to retire in our corner of the Eastern Townships. Currently he is the chairperson of Rue Principale in Brome Lake, a project based on Mainstreets U.S. in the States. It’s a community-based revitalization program aimed at developing the downtown centers of Knowlton, Foster and Fulford.

David McGovern on CIDI99.1FM

David has been a radio announcer and producer for many years and is getting ready for broadcasting and journalism. David McGovern, AKA DJ Name DMcG has been on radio in the Eastern Townships and believes local radio is good for one’s community. From radio in high school; to CIDI and CJMQ David is working his way up. He was a host of a show on CIDI called Teen Life. Now he is producing an Independent Top 20 Show that is coming soon this summer after the test mode for CIDI. These are interesting times for RCM Media and David has hopped on board with the team here at our studio in the village of Lac Brome, the hart of the townships.

Teen Life is a show about teen issues. Topics range from drugs and alcohol to school and friends. David Take these topic and plays great pop culture music through out the show.
